Step by step howto - display a warning before leaving site

Sometimes there is an audit requirement, to let customers know a link is off your site and therefore you take no further responsibility for it. I’ve used some simple javascript code, which is triggered by the click (onclick event).

Email Spider Stumper

If you have a contact page with multiple email addresses listed and are tired of having the email collection spiders grab your email and SPAM you until you are ready to scream, this is the solution for you. This script allows you to place multiple email addresses on a single page without them being detectable by the harvesters. We don't claim it is bullet-proof, only that we have not been able to find a way around this script.

Simple input and advanced page creation program to encrypt html pages including all scripting. For the page creation program place your HTML page code in the approbriate text box and enter the login and keycode info. After you click submit the program will encrypt and place inside an HTML container file that will require the correct login and passcode to display. Copy this to a text file and name as you would an html file. can also be used to encrypt JS files.

AntiSpambotMailto()

CGI mailto forms provide the ultimate level of protection from spambots. However, unless you need that for other reasons such as database transactions, mailto links have the great advantage of ensuring that you receive the sender's correct email address. The beauty of AntiSpambotMailto is that the email address parameter is not just the usual collection of ASCII codes. Each encoded character is also offset by the total length of the email address. For a spambot to be foolproof, they would have to write a complete JavaScript parser, which seems unlikely.

JScriptEncrypt

This JavaScript library provides encryption for Web pages using simple, text-oriented method called column transposition. The idea is to write the plain text in block on the row-first bases. The text is then read column-first. The trick is in that the columns are not read from left to right, but in the order specified by the encryption key. Simple transliteration is applied before encryption, allso. If one is not concerned with goverement spying on them, this method may provide enough secrecy. Ideas on how to use it: encrypt address book of the high school friends or save client-side cookies encrypted with users password.

Stop the Spam-bots

This FREE online tool generates some Javascript code that you can cut and paste into your HTML so that all those annoying spam-bots won't be able to harvest your e-mail address from your webpage. It writes your e-mail address to the browser but doesn't include your address in the actual HTML code. PHP and Python versions available.
